Previous Strips-…

Thanks for all the positive feedback on these guys! Here's another one!

So if you notice in the last panel Hobbes is alive in the same panel as Susie (bacon's mom). Her mom isn't looking at Bacon and Hobbes, so Hobbes can technically be alive. Although Watterson never had Hobbes alive in the same panel with another character, despite if they were looking toward Calvin and Hobbes or not, I thought I could stretch it considering she's imaging her mom with a lava vacuum anyway. (I may change the last panel to two separate panels, just to keep with Watterson's tradition)

Edit: There is this strip that someone in the comments pointed out… Which has Susie looking away from Hobbes, showing him alive. Although, Susie isn't looking toward Hobbes in my strip, her face is in his direction, so maybe it was best to divide the panel.

PLEASE keep making these!  They are a beautiful tribute to Watterson's work!  Bravo!

You adhered to the original artistic style phenomenally well.

These are fabulous! Calvin and Hobbes was my favorite strip and I was so sad when it ended. Thank you for continuing it in such a creative and wonderful fashion :-)

Awesome, just awesome.  I remember doing that when I was a kid. :)

This brings back memories of my childhood. Truly a worthy spiritual successor to the classic strip if ever there was one! Kudos for making these! It's like Calvin and Hobbes for the modern era!

Each one of these i see is getting better and better at speaking with C&Hs "original" voice. And you're right... the advantage of this imagionary layer for storytelling is priceless. (Although it reminds me of one of my web favorites, the daily and sunday strips at Least I could Do which use a similar concept for grown up and juvenile for it#s main character Rayne (Although he's a bit more dirty minded especially as an adult with a little tendency of womanizing) I never really noticed those parallels until today. Cool.)
